Amazon’s new Black Business Accelerator provides access to capital, business guidance,

mentorship, and marketing support to help Black business owners succeed as sellers in Amazon’s store.

 

Amazon is launching the Black Business Accelerator (BBA) to help build sustainable equity and growth for Black-owned businesses. The initiative—which explicitly targets barriers to access, opportunity, and advancement created by systemic racism across America—was created in partnership with our Black Employee Network and a coalition of strategic partners.

Resilient Corridors Initiative Grant Applications Open for Small Businesses Due December 14, 2020

The City of New Orleans and the New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA) launched a $350,000 pilot program to support businesses and commercial corridors within Strategic Neighborhood Development focus neighborhoods (Gentilly, Treme, Algiers, New Orleans East, Lower 9, Hollygrove and Gert Town). These communities have experienced decades of disinvestment, leaving surrounding businesses more vulnerable to economic and environmental disasters, such as the current COVID-19 pandemic.

November 12, 2020. Through a major philanthropic investment from JPMorgan Chase, Mayor LaToya Cantrell, the New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA), and YouthForce NOLA are proud to announce a $5 million commitment to help ensure the resiliency and success of New Orleans neighborhoods and those who call them home.

As one of seven winning cities selected by JPMorgan Chase for its AdvancingCities Challenge, New Orleans is making a historic investment into blue-green infrastructure, providing pathways to new career opportunities for residents and contract opportunities for local small businesses in the water economy. New Orleans Business Alliance and Mayor’s Office to Launch $350,000 Pilot Program to Support Resiliency of Local Businesses and Commercial Corridors 

 NEW ORLEANS – The City of New Orleans and the New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA) are launching a $350,000 pilot program to support businesses and commercial corridors within the following seven neighborhoods identified as part of the NOLABA Strategic Neighborhood Development (SND) Strategy: New Orleans East, Lower 9, Hollygrove, Gert Town, Gentilly, Treme, and Algiers.
