LED FastStart interview event will connect prospects directly with Baton Rouge company’s recruiters

BATON ROUGE, La. – Applications are now being accepted for an LED FastStart virtual career fair that will connect job seekers in and outside the state with hiring managers for developer and engineering jobs at Rural Sourcing’s Baton Rouge Development Center. The online interview event will take place Tuesday, Feb. 1, from noon to 6 p.m. Job seekers interested in participating must submit their resume by Thursday, Jan. 27, to be considered for an interview. District 100 Tulane Legislative Scholarship applications being accepted

District 100 residents may submit applications to State Representative Jason Hughes for the 2022-2023 Tulane University Louisiana Legislative Scholars Program.

The Louisiana Legislative Scholars Program provides a one-year full-tuition scholarship to Tulane University for Louisiana residents who are graduates of Louisiana high schools and meet the eligibility criteria. Scholarship awards are made on an annual basis. The successful District 100 Louisiana Legislative Scholars recipient will be awarded a full-tuition scholarship to Tulane University for ONE year and will be eligible to apply for the scholarship for three additional years, for a maximum of four years should they continue to meet the eligibility criteria of the program.  Continue reading “District 100 Tulane Legislative Scholarship applications being accepted”

SBA “Get Certified Day” Webinar

Speakers will include representatives of SBA, LA-DOTD, Louisiana Economic Development, and Louisiana PTAC. Following the presentations by each organization, participants will be able to join individual breakout rooms to work on their respective applications. The goal is to get more firms certified so that they can take advantage of the $500 Billion Federal Government Contracting Arena and to be eligible to take advantage of contracts awarded by the State of Louisiana, and Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development
