The City of New Orleans is informing residents that the Christmas tree recycling program will continue in an effort to restore and protect the Louisiana coastline. Residents are asked to place their trees curbside before 5 a.m. on their regularly scheduled collection day between Jan. 10-15, 2022. The City of New Orleans is hosting a virtual Hurricane Ida Town Hall on Thu, Dec 16th at 6pm. During this town hall, City of New Orleans officials and partner agencies will share insight on decisions made, as well as challenges and successes of the Ida response and recovery efforts.

New Orleans City Business | Childhood friends from Brooklyn investing in New Orleans
Childhood friends and Brooklyn, New York natives Shea Schneider, Sholom Ber Eckhaus and Berry Silver have entered the New Orleans real estate market. They have bought multiple multifamily properties since the start of 2021 in southeast Louisiana, with the goal of acquiring more, specifically in New Orleans.
In July, the trio bought a 46-unit complex at 8520 Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans East for $2.2 million, according to the website of The McEnery Company, their real estate agent.
